As the article points out customers are open to permission-based marketing to their mobiles, mobile marketing is highly dynamic and perhaps most importantly-it’s only going to get bigger and better.
SMBs will find that mobile marketing is also very inexpensive compared to other forms of marketing like direct mail. But as I pointed out in a previous post and this article points out as well, don’t put mobile in a silo. Mobile marketing should be added to what you do today so you can extend your presence to another place your customers are spending time-on their mobiles.
In a nutshell, as Mary Meeker from Morgan Stanley pointed out, the mobile internet will be bigger than predicted. The best thing an SMB can do is get started now so you can learn and refine your use of mobile marketing and most importantly, build the base of customers who want to hear from you.
