I didn’t say this but that doesn’t make it any less true.
“Marketers who continue to deny the rise of mobile marketing and advertising will be left in dust when thinking that mobile could never effect the marketing channel they’re using.
Sooner or later mobile will effect almost all forms of marketing, and those who have taken the necessary steps to identify the impacts and optimize for the future will have the upper hand over those who continue to deny the immense impact mobile will have.”
This was from the tail end of the Mobile Marketing Watch email from today. I wasn’t paying attention but I’m going to bet the same kinds of things were said in 1994 about the PC-based internet and now look at the world. Mobile’s scale, dynamism, impulsivity and personal nature make the PC look like writing messages on tree bark.
It’s best to get crackin’ now like the message says. Don’t say you haven’t been warned.
